Trinity

Yes I can.
We were here once.
Now is not the same.

Kiss me once more.
Another chance to say
words unsaid before.

Another moment
where I can't say I'm sorry.
Just kiss me...

This poem was directly inspired by the scene The Matrix: Revolutions where Trinity dies. "Yes I can" is what she says when Neo says "You can't die." I almost wanted to put "die" at the end of the line, but I like it better without it because if you don't know what its about, you don't know she's dying until the end of the poem. So there it is. And I'm really big on numbers, so because the title is "Trinity" I did 3 stanzas of 3 lines. I then isolated the last line for dramatic effect. This is probably the most I've ever explained about a poem without someone asking why I did certain things. So feel privileged.
